Privacy notice

The short version: we set no advertising cookies, we load no analytics until you say yes, and we sell nothing to anyone. Below is the long version, written against what the site actually does rather than from a template.

Who we are

Fyzn is a digital studio that designs and builds Shopify themes and storefronts. Fyzn is the trading name of the company below, which is the data controller for this website — meaning it decides what is collected here and why:

GülRimas Danışmanlık İç ve Dış Tic. Ltd. Şti. (Fyzn)Meydan Mahallesi, Sahil Caddesi No:9731800 Samandağ / Hatay, Türkiyehello@fyzn.studio

The company is established in Türkiye, so Turkish data protection law (KVKK, Law No. 6698) applies to it directly. Where you are in the UK or the EEA, the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR also apply to what we do with your data, because we offer services to people there; the rights set out under Your rights are honoured whichever of those you are covered by. The quickest way to reach a human about anything on this page is hello@fyzn.studio.

What we collect, and why

Analytics — only after you agree

If you accept analytics in the banner, we load Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies and records things like the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, and what browser and device you use. IP addresses are anonymised before storage, and analytics data is deleted after 14 months.

If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, Google Analytics is never fetched — not loaded and blocked, but never requested at all. We advertise nowhere, so advertising and personalisation signals are switched off unconditionally, whatever you choose. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which resets the banner.

Legal basis: your consent.

The contact form

The form at /contact collects your name, email address, company if you give one, the topic you pick and your message. It is emailed to us through Resend so we can reply, and it is used for nothing else. A short one-way digest of your IP address travels with that email and is held briefly in memory to rate-limit the form; the address itself is never stored, and the digest cannot be turned back into it.

Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in keeping the form usable.

The Darkroom support form

When you submit the form at /darkroom/support we receive the name, email address, store URL, theme version, topic and message you type into it. That message is emailed to our support inbox through Resend, our email provider, so that we can answer you. We also briefly note the IP address of the request in memory, purely to stop one sender flooding the form; it is not stored with your message and does not survive a server restart.

Legal basis: taking steps at your request before or during a contract, and our legitimate interest in keeping the form usable.

Email you send us directly

If you email hello@fyzn.studio, we keep the message so we can reply and refer back to it. Legal basis: legitimate interest in answering our correspondence.

Server logs

Our host, Vercel, records ordinary request logs — IP address, timestamp, the URL requested, user agent — which are used to serve the site, diagnose faults and detect abuse. These are kept for a short period by Vercel and are not used to build any profile of you. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating a secure, working website.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell or rent personal data. Not to anyone, at any price.
  • We don’t run advertising, retargeting or personalisation cookies.
  • We don’t embed third-party fonts, social widgets, session recorders or heatmaps. Our fonts are served from this domain, so loading a page tells no font provider that you were here.
  • We don’t make automated decisions that have legal effects on you.

Who else touches the data

These are the only third parties involved, and each acts on our instructions:

  • Vercel — hosting and content delivery. Sees requests to the site.
  • Resend — email delivery. Sees contact-form and support-form messages so they can reach our inbox.
  • Google — analytics, and only if you accepted it.

Some of these process data outside the UK and EEA, under the transfer safeguards their own terms provide. And because we are established in Türkiye, anything you send us is read and answered from Türkiye — so if you are in the UK or the EEA, your message leaves that jurisdiction by the act of contacting us. We will also disclose data where the law genuinely requires it.

Your rights

Wherever you are, you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time without that affecting what came before. Those are the rights the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR give you; Article 11 of the KVKK gives materially the same ones, and we apply the wider of the two rather than sort people by where they live.

Email hello@fyzn.studio and we will answer within one month. If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first — but you also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority: the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK, your national authority in the EEA, or the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK Kurumu) in Türkiye.

Children

This site sells software to businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes

When this notice changes we update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will ask for consent again rather than quietly rely on the old answer.
